Maria Gabriela Montalbetti is an Uruguayan avant-garde artist, born in Montevideo on August 7, 1972, who now resides in Barcelona since April 18, 2018. She moved to Spain and it was here where she decided to start in the world of painting, based on geometric shapes and astrological figures. All times she paint for pleasure, for personal discovery, without aspirations of grandeur or intentions to study art, or to present her works in galleries. She does everything self-taught. She wanted to challenge herself. Geometry is the primordial basis of our universe. Human beings have sacred geometry at the base of their code of existence. Just as computers are programmed in 1’s and 0’s, our reality is programmed with universal geometric codes. These structural codes are here, now, available to anyone with eyes to see them, as both energy and matter always follow the same trajectory of motion, frequency and vibration. An intelligent design that reflects order, symmetry, beauty, generates life, and this is the vehicle of consciousness, of presence, but above all, of experience. Thus, the human being, being alive, being conscious, contains the code of divine creation in his cells. And that is why this geometry that makes life and existence possible is called Sacred. Her work is the fundamental application of Sacred Geometry in three dimensions on the canvas to channel her emotions and sensations, always through arithmetic and geometry.
